Protective Footwear
Safety Toe
ASTM F2413 M/I/C is the standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear that is impact and compression-resistant.
Puncture Resistant
ASTM F2413 PR is the standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear that is puncture resistant.
Metatarsal Guard
ASTM F2413 Mt is the standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear designed to reduce injury to the metatarsal areas of the foot.
Electrical Hazard
ASTM F2413 EH is the standard Specification for Performance Requirements in Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear that gives electrical hazard protection.
ASTM F3445 Slip Resistant
Footwear certified and labeled in accordance with ASTM F3445 Standard Specification for Performance Requirements when Evaluating Slip Resistance of Protective (Safety) Footwear using ASTM F2913 Whole Shoe Test Method.
General Slip Resistance
Footwear that may not be governed by the ASTM F3445 Standard, but which demonstrates widely recognized and accepted slip resistant properties.
High Visibility Safety Apparel
Type O Class 1
ANSI/ISEA 107 Type O Class 1 Apparel designates occupational high visibility safety apparel for non-roadway use providing the minimum amount of high visibility materials required.
Type R Class 2
ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 2 Apparel designates occupational high visibility safety apparel for roadway use with additional high visibility materials and designs to define the human form for effectively.
Type R Class 3
ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 3 Apparel designates designates occupational high visibility safety apparel for roadway use and offers maximum visibility to the wearer in both complex backgrounds and through a full range of body movements.
Class E
ANSI/ISEA 107 Class E is a supplemental class of high visibility safety apparel not intended to be worn alone for the purposes of meeting HVSA PPE requirements but can be combined with Class 2 or 3 garments for an overall classification of Class 3.

ASTM D6413 is the standard Test Method for Flame Resistance of Textiles (Vertical Test) which measures the response of materials to heat and flame under controlled conditions and evaluates afterflame and afterglow characteristics as a part of the measure of flame resistance.
Flash Fire
ASTM F2733 is the Standard Specification for Flame-Resistant Rainwear for Protection against Flame Hazards which prescribes function and performance criteria for rainwear that meets a minimum level of thermal and physical performance for use by workers with the potential to be simultaneously exposed to wet weather conditions and either hydrocarbon or petrochemical industrial fires.
Arc Flash - ASTM F1891
ASTM F1891 is the Standard Specification for Arc and Flame Resistant Rainwear which prescribes fit, function and performance criteria for rainwear that meets a minimum level of thermal and physical performance for use by workers who may be exposed to thermal hazards of momentary electric arcs and open flames.
Arc Flash - ASTM F1506
ASTM F1506 is the Standard Performance Specification for Flame Resistant and Electric Arc Rated Protective Clothing Worn by Workers Exposed to Flames and Electric Arcs which covers the design characteristics and associated test methods that relate specifically to the flame resistance of textile materials used in the fabrication of protective clothing.
NFPA 70E CAT 1
NFPA 70E is the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace which establishes safe work practices to protect personnel by reducing exposure to major electrical hazards. A PPE Category 1 —or CAT 1 — rating is given to apparel with a minimum Arc Rating of 4 cal/cm².
NFPA 70E CAT 2
NFPA 70E is the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace which establishes safe work practices to protect personnel by reducing exposure to major electrical hazards. A PPE Category 2 —or CAT 2 — rating is given to apparel with a minimum Arc Rating of 8 cal/cm².
